A variety of tomato
An indeterminate large oxheart tomato, very firm-fleshed with almost no seeds, very sweet and low in acid. Perfect for slicing or processing in any way. Came to New Zealand with the Dalmatian gardeners of the northern gumfields and has had about 150 years of selection for humid climates. Needs staking. Sow in trays in late September, prick out at 3 cm, pot on at 10 cm and plant out at 10 to 15 cm high at 50 cm spacing, two rows per 1 m bed.
