Having never grown Garlic before I purchased 6 bulbs of softneck, organic garlic from Digger's Club. And as you do I proceeded to plant out every square inch that I could find with garlic cloves.

So far everything has sprouted and is between 10 and 20 cm tall now. So I'm calling it a massive success. The problem will be when we harvest and have stupid amounts of garlic to eat and use but I figure we can get through 2 or 3 bulbs a week.

I've mixed in plantings of carrot and asian cabbage (mostly Bok Choi) around the garlic.
