Key Limes are tropical evergreen, perennial, thorny shrubs or trees that produce small yellow to green fruit limes about the size of a golf ball. Key Limes are more aromatic than Persian limes and have a herbal-floral aroma, making them the preferred choice for mixed drinks and baked goods. Unlike Persian Limes, they contain seeds and yield less juice per lime. Trees require steady temperatures above 15° C, and can be grown indoors in containers in cooler regions.
