Notes

Four seedlings from a garden centre. ~10 cm tall at planting. Mix of soil, compost and potting mix with some veggie fertiliser. Mulched to reduce risk of soil-borne disease. Surrounded by cloches (plastic bottle or tin can collars) to hopefully protect from blackbirds & winds.

Three in semi-shade by privet hedge; hopefully this will shield them from winds & drought.

One in sun between hedging feijoa bushes.

Update 6 November: At lest 1 maybe 2 privet-plants dead; one was damaged when planting anyway. Had to take collars off for other seedlings so perhaps blackbirds dug them up when digging or worms. Feijoa-plant looking okay
