Description
A Kōanga favourite for about 30 years, from an early commercial line dropped because it did not suit agribusiness systems. The stalks are crunchy, juicy and nutty, and the plant is selected for strong winter growth in cold climates, so you can harvest a stalk at a time all winter and spring. A heavy feeder needing lots of water. Sow November to early March in trays under 1 mm of mix, prick out at 2.5 cm and transplant at 8 cm high.
