1 day agoDescription(blank) -> A New Zealand heirloom beetroot originally from Denmark, with long cylindrical roots that give more uniform slices than round beets. Tender and sweet, eaten raw or cooked, and the young leaves are edible too. Claimed to be the most productive beetroot per square metre. Sow in trays under 3 mm of seed-raising mix and transplant 4 to 6 weeks later at 15 cm diagonal spacing. -
