Nice looking pomegranate. var. 'Sweet' … Planted it where the cherry used to be. Decided after the bareroot disaster this one was going in later in the year.
UPDATE 3/21/2016: The pomegranate grew significantly during its first year. It never lost its leaves during the winter, although it did stop growing and look a little less healthy for a month or two. Now it is looking vigorous and healthy, putting out new growth. A couple of flower buds are visible; hopefully it will begin to flower this year.
