six word memoir: "six words? concise! need three more!"

Despite the fact that I grew up on a farm, I seem to be an eternal beginner at gardening. I am always lacking either time, money, or skill; often, all three. I am trying to figure out how to use my nearly nonexistent free time to build up some skill which will, hopefully, mitigate the lack of money. I am now living in suburban Connecticut and have half an acre and have been fumbling around in the yard since I got here. I have bigger plans this year, whether they work out remains to be seen.

I am a software engineer by trade, working as a tiny cog in a massive machine.
